Utilizar apropriadamente o vocabulário estudado nas unidades 1 a 16; D - Orientações de estudo (atividades que têm como objetivo diagnosticar os erros dos alunos para que eles possam superá-los e, consequentemente, consigam atingir uma aprendizagem satisfatória): Agora, leia com bastante atenção as propostas de trabalho apresentadas a seguir, pois elas propõem uma retomada da trajetória de seus estudos semestrais e, assim, possibilitarão que você recupere sua aprendizagem e, consequentemente, sua média. É importante ressaltar que você precisará de muito empenho e dedicação na elaboração destas atividades, mas não estará sozinho nessa jornada porque terá o constante apoio de seu professor e também do monitor da área. Não se esqueça de que a meta geral de todos os seus professores neste ano é o fortalecimento da postura de estudante. E. ICT in Education UNESCO Bangkok Online social networking is now so deeply embedded in the lifestyles of teens that it rivals television for their attention, according to a new study from Grunwald Associates LLC, conducted in cooperation with the US National School Boards Association. 4

5 Nine-to-17-year-olds now spend almost as much time using social networking services and web sites as they spend watching television, the study revealed. Among teens, that amounts to about nine hours a week on social networking activities, compared to about 10 hours a week watching TV. Students are hardly passive couch potatoes online. Beyond basic communications, many students engage in highly creative activities on social networking sites - and a sizeable proportion of them are adventurous nonconformists who set the pace for their peers [ ] Furthermore, students reported that one of the most common topics of conversation on the social networking scene is education. Almost 60 per cent of students who use social networking talk about education topics online and, surprisingly, more than 50 per cent talk specifically about schoolwork. Yet the vast majority of school districts have stringent rules against nearly all forms of social networking during the school day - even though students and parents report few behavior problems online. Indeed, both district leaders and parents believe that social networking could play a positive role in students' lives and they recognise opportunities for using it in education - at a time when teachers now routinely assign homework that requires Internet use to complete. In light of the study findings, school districts may want to consider re-examining their policies and practices and explore ways in which they could use social networking for educational purposes. The study was comprised of three surveys: an online survey of 1,277 nine-to-17-year-old students, an online survey of 1,039 parents and telephone interviews with 250 school district leaders who make decisions on Internet policy. Grunwald Associates LLC, an independent research and consulting firm formulated and directed the study. 1. 8 Texto para a questão 6: Personal Marketing: Selling yourself Before you begin a job search campaign you must have a personal marketing strategy. A personal marketing strategy provides you with a game plan for your job search campaign. You should look at the job search as a marketing campaign, with you, the job seeker, as the product. Every product, even the best ones, won t succeed without a strong marketing strategy. This begins with a comprehensive, yet flexible plan. First you must know to whom you are marketing. You must identify the types of employers who would be looking for an employee with your qualifications. Are they all within a certain industry? Are there many industries that hire employees with your background? You already know that personal marketing skills are important to your career and perhaps to find a better job, but the only problem is that the art of self marketing is difficult for a lot of people. Selling yourself well doesn t mean talking just about yourself or arrogantly telling others how great you are. By selling yourself, in an interview or an informal networking meeting, I mean thinking first about the employer s needs and expectations and figuring out how you can create value for their organization. What does the potential employer really need from a new employee? What specific technical skills, workplace competencies and personal qualities is the employer looking for? Now if you can ask those questions dispassionately, you should be able to identify your own strengths that match and gently weave them into every conversation you have in the world of good jobs and prospective careers. 10 UNESCO has worked to examine the idea of varied usages of literacy on a global basis. Globally, multiliteracies can be perceived and applied very differently depending on the nation and its culture. The table below provides a few excellent examples of this.
