Iliad: full reading of a book (books I and / or XXIV). 7.Demonstração da coerência dos conteúdos programáticos com os objectivos de aprendizagem da unidade curricular A leitura dos Poemas Homéricos permite aos alunos adquirir vocabulário básico, dadas as características orais do texto. A tradução integral de dois cantos cria capacidade de ler grego em extensão. O estudo da língua homérica permite, ainda, um primeiro contacto com o jónico e com o dialecto eólico. O estudo do hexâmetro dactílico justifica-se atendendo ao metro em que estes poemas estão escritos. A poesia homérica, com mais parataxe do que hipotaxe, também propicia o estudo da sintaxe dos casos. Por outro lado, os verbos em μι podem ser facilmente revistos e estudados em pormenor com o texto proposto.

3 Alguns temas de sintaxe recorrentes nos Poemas Homéricos, como o valor final e jussivo do imperativo ou as particularidades da oração condicional, já estudada pelos alunos quando leram prosa ática, são questões imperativas a trabalhar com os alunos, quando se trata de compreender os Poemas Homéricos. 7. Demonstration of the syllabus coherence with the curricular unit's objectives Reading Homeric Poems allows students to acquire basic vocabulary, given the oral characteristics of the text. And the full translation of two books develops the ability to read ancient Greek in extension. The study of the Homeric language also allows a first contact with the Ionic and the Aeolic dialects. The study of the dactylic hexameter is justified considering the meter in which these poems are written. Homeric poetry, with more parataxis than hypotaxis, also favours the study of the syntax of the cases. Furthermore, the -μι verbs, the oldest verbs in ancient Greek, can be easily reviewed and studied in detail when we read the Homeric Poems. Some recurrent syntax themes in the Homeric text as the final and jussive imperative or the particularities of conditional clauses are primal subjects to work with students when it comes to understanding the Homeric Poems. 8.Metodologias de ensino (avaliação incluída) Em todas as aulas os alunos farão traduções dos autores do programa e realizarão fichas gramaticais de consolidação da língua (30%). Além disso, realizarão dois exercícios escritos (35% + 35%). 8.Teaching methodologies (including evaluation) In all the classes, the students make translations and do grammatical exercises (30%). Besides that, it is required that they do, at least, two written exercises (35% + 35%). 9.Demonstração da coerência das metodologias de ensino com os objectivos de aprendizagem da unidade curricular A realização de traduções semanais ajudará os alunos a adquirir capacidade para traduzir em extensão. Os exercícios gramaticais ajudarão a consolidar a gramática já estudada e a aprender os novos conteúdos. As provas escritas permitem avaliar a

4 capacidade de traduzir dentro de um determinado período de tempo. 9.Demonstration of the coherence between the teaching methodologies and the learning outcomes Weekly translations help students to acquire ability to translate in extension. Grammar exercises help to consolidate the grammar s themes already studied and also help to learn new subjects.
