Why Angola? 2 nd largest producer of crude oil in Africa after Nigeria, highest by far on a per capita basis with only 17m inhabitants (vs. 170m in Nigeria) The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has named Angola the fastest growing economy in the world in the decade from the 2001-11, averaging an impressive 11.1% Up to 85% of this growth has been driven by the Oil and Gas and Offshore sectors ; current targets are to raise production from 2m to 3m barrels in the next decade Nearly 80% of everything consumed in Angola is currently imported from its key trading partners such as China, Portugal, Brazil, and the United States - the country recognizes the need to diversify its economy Besides strong business opportunities, Angola has much to offer the adventurous - rich culture, great climate and food, and not least of all, great unexplored tourism potential

Welcome to Offshore Center Angola (OCA) Growth through Knowledge and Competence Development Offshore Center Angola is an innovation and knowledge-based cluster organization for networking and competence development, supported by members from the private and public sectors related to the Oil and Gas and Offshore Industries. Our primary mission is to facilitate Knowledge sharing and competence building, to enhance sector competitiveness of the Offshore Sector in Angola. OCA organizes networking events and conferences, runs human capital development and training programs, facilitates matching of commercial partners and actively promotes the development of national content in the Angolan Offshore sector. We believe in building a network and knowledge which is Local and Specialized.
