Motivation: Hybrid Cloud model An approach common to both regions? Brazil is enthusiastically embracing many, but not all, of the opportunities Cloud provides To meet the challenges of a slowdown in economic growth and pressure on costs Security issues, high real estate and energy costs are contributory factors to the cloud computing spreading Cloud adoption model will shift from public Cloud to a predominantly hybrid model Brazilian companies are adopting Cloud services via both domestic as International service providers 6

Cyber security, data protection and sovereignty are considered to be the most highly ranked challenges Many perceive that public Cloud leads to an increased risk of unauthorized access or hacking Large global Cloud providers were not particularly active in Brazil until recently With the raising security concerns the market is becoming more reliant on global suppliers Due to their greater security experience and resources 7
