Nonetheless, it kept an important characteristic for digital signal transmission that is the Single Frequency Network, SFN. The SFN uses the modulation Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing, OFDM. Considering the Single Frequency Network, SFN, this study is based on a particular SFN network of gap filler stations in the covered area of some existing stations of a city or region. Simulations based on study cases show that the gap filler stations in big urban areas are useful and necessary tools for coverage improvement for Digital TV in certain places where there may be shadow points because of buildings, vegetation or geographic relief. It is expected that simulations and detailed analysis are performed prior to their implementation in order to ensure that the right actions are taken to mitigate any interference risks in already covered areas and that the gap filler stations will appropriately cover the gaps. It is also important to have field measurements to check the level and the delay differences between the interfering signals and to check the quality of the received signal during implementation. Multiscreen Advertising in the age of Social Media Speaker: Kirssy Valles Harmonic This presentation addresses the business challenges and opportunities of implementing this new connected mobile and social TV experience. The traditional television viewing experience is giving way to a multiscreen environment in which people, programs, and screens are mobile viewers can consume video content wherever they have access to Internet connected devices. This emerging multiscreen viewing brings new patterns of audience exposure, and new media business models. Adding to that, social networks have become relevant as a way of communication, content gateway and video discovery. TV viewers are simultaneously online while watching television, providing avenues for social interaction about the shows they are watching. Multiscreen and social media have the potential to greatly enhance viewing reach and enable addressable advertising. Advertisers and content and service providers need to establish strategies to optimize their social media presence and deliver to the consumer a unified user experience.
