Conhecer e compreender a complexidade estrutural da célula como unidade básica da vida, especificamente macromoléculas, membranas e organelos. 2. Relacionar os diferentes mecanismos que regulam a atividade celular especialmente a nível molecular. 3. Compreender como de uma célula se chega a um organismo multicelular complexo e como as células interagem para formar tecidos e finalmente órgãos It is intended that at the end of the course the student should be able to: 1. Understand the structural complexicity of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, as a basic life unit, especially macromolecules, membranes, and organelles 2. To relate the different mechanisms that regulate cell activity particularly at the molecular level. 3. A admissão às provas de avaliação requer a apresentação obrigatória de um documento de identificação com fotografia. 4

5 Two written individual tests (one midterm and one at the end of the semester) being the final score the arithmetic mean of th e two tests (the minimum for each of the written test is 10 values) or conducting an individual written exam at the end of the semester. The admission into exam or test requires the submission of an identity card with photograph.
