2 Courses The Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Universidade Nova de Lisboa has organized since 1997 courses in Portuguese Language and Culture, which take place in July. These courses are aimed at foreign students who wish to learn or improve their knowledge of Portuguese language and culture. Besides classes in Portuguese language and culture, the course also includes workshops in Portuguese language, sessions on Portuguese culture (literature, cinema / theatre and history) and cultural activities Levels Beginners (A1/A2) Elementary (B1) Intermediate (B2) Advanced (C1) Schedule The courses have a workload of 64h and are worth 4 ECTS credit units. Classes are from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 13:00. Cultural activities are in the afternoons or on Saturdays. Evaluation Students are evaluated through direct observation of their participation, oral/written tests and a final exam. Certification In order to obtain a course certificate, students must attend a minimum of 75% of classes and achieve a pass classification. Students who have attended the course but have not satisfied the minimum requirements for a pass classification will receive an attendance certificate, with no special mention.

3 Fee The course has a total price of 470 : - Pre-registration: 170 (payable at registration) - Enrolment: 300 (payable on the first day of classes) The payment can be made in cash, in the Faculty services, or by bank transfer. No reimbursement will be made for any payment.
