Msg inaugural do GT 2009 (Português abaixo) Dear friends, Time is running as we all see, and we need to begin our discussion about the WSF 2009. On the Nairobi IC meeting, some proposals of venues for that forum were presented, among them: back to Brazil (for instance at Salvador de Bahia or Curitiba), or in a Mexican city close to the US border so as to bring together a large number of Mexicans, North Americans and Central Americans. Other suggestions have indicated Thailand or South Korea, which would anchor the process in East Asia. Many also called for the WSF to be hosted again in the African continent, as most members of the IC agree on the need to further reinforce struggles in Africa. The African OC will consider the possibility and report at the next IC meeting (page 4, Nairobi IC meeting report). We request to all those who have proposals for the WSF 2009 or more details about those already mentioned to circulate them in the IC list (wsfic_fsmci@listas.rits.org.br). In Nairobi, it was formed an working group about the WSF 2009 which is responsible by systematizing the existing proposals and organizing the debate around this issue at the next IC meeting, in Berlin. The mailing list was already formed and its address is wsf2009-wg@listas.rits.org.br. The proposal is to start the WG work around the following questions: 1) How we can divide ourselves in order to verify the feasibility of each proposal for 2009? 2) What are the information required about each proposal to allow the evaluation by the IC of each possible venue? Soon we will be sending instructions on how to use a collective blog where we can have this debate in a continuous way, including already the two proposed questions to start the debate. Na reunião do CI de Nairóbi, foram apresentadas várias propostas de onde a oitava edição do FSM deveria ser realizada. Entre elas: volver a Brasil (por ejemplo, en Salvador de Bahia o Curitiba), o en una ciudad Mexicana cerca de la frontera con EEUU para reunir un gran número de personas de México, América del Norte y Central. Otras sugerencias han indicado Tailandia o Corea del Sur, lo que enraizaría el proceso en Asia del Este. Muchos también han pedido que el FSM se realice otra vez en el continente africano, ya que la mayoría de los miembros del CI están de acuerdo sobre la necesidad de fortalecer más las luchas en África. El CO africano considerará la posibilidad e informará en la próxima reunión del CI. Em Nairóbi, foi constituído um GT sobre o FSM 2009, encarregado de sistematizar as propostas existentes e organizar o debate sobre este tema para a próxima reunião do CI, em Berlim.
