Complementares ao objetivo geral, os objetivos específicos atendem à necessidade de desenvolvimento de competências específicas. Assim, como objetivos específicos, consideram-se os seguintes: Adquirir e ampliar o vocabulário técnico das áreas da Gestão e da Economia (leitura de artigos de divulgação,relatórios e notícias em l í n g u a i n g l e s a ) ; Desenvolver e estimular métodos de investigação (pesquisa de dados e leitura de artigos académicos); Conhecer e elaborar instrumentos de comunicação orientados para o mundo do trabalho e a comunicação internacional (elaboração de CV/biosketch, cover/application letter, etc.). 3 Metodologias de ensino (avaliação incluída) A unidade curricular de Inglês Técnico apresenta um figurino semanal com 2 sessões teórico-práticas e uma tutoria. Para auxiliar o acompanhamento dos conteúdos programáticos, os alunos dispõem na tutoria electrónica dos seguintes elementos: P o w e r p o i n t s d e a p o i o à s a u l a s Elementos de trabalho adicionais (caderno de textos, de exercícios e de gramática) A avaliação de conhecimentos comporta dois modelos: Avaliação Contínua e Avaliação por Exame Final. Avaliação contínua para dispensa de exame final: a) Três mini f ichas individuais (30%+30%+40%) com nota mínima de 7,5v. b) O aluno não pode dar mais de 6 faltas durante o semestre. Avaliação por exame final A avaliação por exame final incidirá sobre todos os pontos do programa e compreenderá apenas uma prestação escrita, pelo que terá uma ponderação de 100%. Ficam aprovados os alunos que obtenham uma classificação igual ou superior a 9,5 valores. The students intended learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competences) The main objective of this course is to develop and consolidate the four basic skills of the English language: Listening, Speaking, R e a d i n g, and Writing. Therefore, practical work aims at providing students with opportunities to listen, speak, read and write in English. Complementary objectives are meant to address the need to develop specific skills related to: expansion of the technical vocabulary of Business Management and Economics (by means of reading of feature articles, reports, news and other written materials in English); development of research habits and methods; learning and creation of communication pieces oriented to the job market and work environment and international communication (the CV/biosketch, the cover/application letter, etc.) Syllabus 1. Technical English applied to Business Management and Economics Teaching methodologies (including evaluation) The unit is based on lectures and interactive learning sessions and tutorial classes. Students are stimulated to monitor their own learning process and cann acces the electronic tutorial and find there powerpoints and other study materials, such as text books, and grammar e x e r c i s e s : Evaluation methods comprehend two modalities: continuous evaluation and final exam. Continuous evaluation (exemption of final examination): a) Three individual worksheets (30%+30%+40%) with a minimum average score of 7,5. b) The student is not permitted to miss more than 6 classes Evaluation by final exam: This modality is a written test and focuses on all syllabus contents.
