Objetivos Esta disciplina provê uma revisão da teoria e evidências sobre desenvolvimento econômico, a partir de uma perspectiva de política econômica. O objetivo central da disciplina é analisar diversas questões de política econômica, relevantes para crescimento e desenvolvimento econômico, de forma rigorosa. Ao final da disciplina, espera-se que o aluno típico tenha desenvolvido uma visão crítica dos debates teóricos, empíricos e de elaboração de políticas a respeito dos tópicos estudados. 3. 2 5. Formas de Avaliação i. Ensaios Semanais: (30% da nota final) Um ensaio por semana de uma a duas páginas (espaço simples) sobre um ponto, argumento, hipótese ou conclusão que você achou interessante de alguma das leituras do tópico da semana. Você deve identificar uma idéia interessante das leituras ou discussões em classe e expandir o argumento. Faz sentido? Quais são os contra argumentos? Pode-se testar esta ideia usando dados? Como esta ideia pode ser usada para motivar pesquisa? A entrega dos ensaios será no início de cada encontro e não serão aceitas entregas posteriores. ii. Apresentações: (30% da nota final) Em cada encontro, um aluno será alocado para apresentar um artigo (30 a 45 minutos) e liderar a discussão sobre o tema. As apresentações (com ppt ou equivalente) em classe têm como objetivo melhorar seu entendimento sobre a questão, contribuição e conclusões centrais do artigo em questão. iii. Elaboração de artigo: (30% da nota final) Artigo individual, formato para publicação, explorando um tema ou ideia desenvolvida na disciplina. iv.
