Martins (UNIFACS) Duração: 03 horas Abstract: Smart Grid is an innovating solution for the electrical systems that consists in an integrated architecture for all system components, including generation, transmission, distribution, and users. This architecture is strongly based on telecommunications networks with potential and inherent advantages such as greater overall efficiency and system-wide reliability, providing communication among intelligent devices. This short-course explains the main smart grid concepts and challenges and explores the IEC 61850 standard which, in turn, standardizes the communications among devices. The IEC 61850 and other relevant protocols are the basic building blocks of a communication network in a smart grid style. The challenges discussed include a new generation of telecommunications network for the smart grid together with security, management, control, quality of service, and migration issues.
Natalia C. Fernandes possui graduação em Engenharia Eletrônica e de Computação (2006), mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica (2008) e doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica (2011) pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Atualmente, é professora adjunta da Escola de Engenharia da Universidade Federal Fluminense, no Departamento de Engenharia de Telecomunicações. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Telecomunicações, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: redes de nova geração, smart grids, segurança, virtualização e redes sem fio. Yona Lopes é mestranda em Engenharia de Telecomunicações pela Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica - Ênfase em Telecomunicações -pelo Centro Universitário da Cidade (2010) e curso-técnico-profissionalizante pela Fundação de Apoio à Escola Técnica do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2005), terminou a sua graduação de Engenharia sendo a melhor aluna de Ciências Exatas no seu ano de colação. Possui experiência na área de desenvolvimentos de projetos de Rede de Dados, e gerência de redes. Flávio G. Calhau é doutorando pela DMCC (UNIFACS/UFBA/UEFS), possui mestrado em Sistemas e Computação pela Universidade Salvador (2011) e graduação em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Estadual de Santa Cruz (2002). Cursando atualmente uma Especialização em Computação Distribuída e Ubíqua - IFBA. É analista de sistemas da Petrobras e tem experiência na área de Ciência da Computação, atuando principalmente em redes de sensores sem fio, petróleo e gás e aplicações industriais. Carlos A. Malcher possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica (1981), mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica (1983) e doutorado em Informática pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (1997). Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade Federal Fluminense. Tem experiência na área de Ciência da Computação, com ênfase em Teleinformática, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: redes de computadores, serviços de telecomunicações, integração de serviços, redes híbridas, infraestrutura de cidades digitais. Joberto S. B. Martins é doutor em Ciência da Computação pela Université Paris VI (1986), atividades de pós-doutorado junto ao ICSI/ University of Califórnia - Berkeley (1995), graduado em Engenharia Elétrica pela UFPB Campina Grande (1977). Atualmente, atua junto à Universidade Salvador - UNIFACS como Professor Titular e Pesquisador. Coordena o Mestrado em Sistemas e Computação (PPGCOMP) e o NUPERC (Núcleo de Pesquisa em Redes e Computação). Atua também como Professor Convidado na HTW - Hochschule für Techknik und Wirtschaft des Saarlandes (Alemanha) e na Université d Evry (França). Atua também como consultor e pesquisador em Smart Grids, Internet do Futuro, Smart Grid, SDN/OpenFlow, Qualidade de Serviço e Gerência Autonômica para diversas Instituições e empresas.

09h30-10h00 Smart Grid in Generation and Distribution Context/ Smart Grid no Contexto da Geração e Distribuição Prof. Dr. Nelson Kagan Universidade de São Paulo USP Received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineer from the University of London, UK, in 1993. He is a Full Professor at University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, where he lectures since 1983. His main interests are mostly concerned to power quality, electric power distribution networks, intelligent systems and smart grids. 13h30-14h30 Smart Grid Architecture and Electricity Matrix Evolution and Demands: A Perspective Dr. Stefano Galli IEEE Smart Grid Initiative Chair Stefano Galli received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rome La Sapienza (Italy) in 1994 and 1998, respectively. Currently, he is the Director of Technology Strategy of ASSIA the leading developer of automated management and diagnostics tools for broadband networks. Prior to this position, he held the role of Director of Energy Solutions R&D for Panasonic Corporation and Senior Scientist at Bellcore. Dr. Galli is serving as elected Member at Large of the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Board of Governors, director of Smart Grid activities for the IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee on Power Line Communications, member of the Energy and Policy Committee of IEEE USA, and as Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Communications and the IEEE Communications Magazine. Dr. Galli is also serving as Rapporteur for the ITU T Q15/15 Communications for Smart Grid standardization group. Past positions include serving as Co Chair of the Communications Technology Task Force of IEEE 2030 (Smart Grid), Leader of the Theoretical and Mathematical Models Group of IEEE 1901 (Broadband over Power Lines standard), Coexistence sub group Chair of the SGIP/NIST PAP 15, and a variety of other leadership positions in the IEEE. He has also served as Founder and first Chair of the IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee on Power Line Communications. Dr. Galli is a Fellow of the IEEE, has received the 2013 IEEE Donald G. Fink Best Paper Award for his paper on Smart Grid and Power Line Communications, the 2011 IEEE ComSoc Donald W. McLellan Meritorious Service Award, the 2011 Outstanding Service Award from the IEEE ComSoc Technical Committee on Power Line Communications, and the 2010 IEEE ISPLC Best Paper Award.
