Use of advanced optimization software packages (TOMLAB, GAMS (CPLEX/KNITRO) for optimization purposes and metaheuristics comparison. Application of data-mining techniques to electricity markets and power systems. I have been involved in several projects and R&D works involving electricity markets, demand response, network simulation. I have finished his MsC thesis based on opportunities offered by electric vehicles using demand response, vehicle-to-grid, distributed generation in the smart grids context.
