RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES: Over the last 9 years the post-graduation researcher has been developing work on the Group of Emissions, Modelling and Climate Change (GEMAC), at the Department of Environment and Planning, and also integrated in the Associated Laboratory CESAM (Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies) of the University of Aveiro with the general purpose of studying and analysing the physical and chemical atmospheric processes, including meteorological aspects, emission and dispersion of air pollutants and fluxes between atmosphere and other reservoirs. Particularly, the researcher has been carrying work on the field of traffic air pollutants dispersion in urban areas through the development and application of numerical modelling tools and physical modelling in the wind tunnel. 3 - Development and application of Computational Fluid Dynamic models for the assessment of flow and air pollutant dispersion in urban areas. - Exposure modelling to atmospheric pollutants and related health effects. - Physical modelling of the atmospheric dispersion phenomena in the wind tunnel. Current research interests: - Human exposure assessment to atmospheric pollutants and related health effects. - Assessment of the outdoor air pollutants transport to indoors. - Interaction between indoor air quality and building s energy efficiency.this research subject will be addressed under the working programme of the FCT post-doc grant.
