SERGIPE Projects Chinese wind turbine manufacturer, Sinovel, is supplying turbines to Brazilian project developer Desenvix with funding of US$55m from the China Development Bank for a 34 MW project in the state of Sergipe - Barra dos Coqueiros.

RIO GRANDE DO SUL Projects With the inauguration of Elebrás Cidreira in Tramandaí (70 MW), Rio Grande do Sul, in 2011, installed capacity of Brazilian wind surpassed 1 GW.
Tramandaí (Rio Grande do Sul) was the 50th project to come online in Brazil in 2011. Projects contracted through the 2009 and 2010 auctions, when complete, will bring total installed capacity to over 5 GW according to Brazilian Wind Energy Association, Abeeólica. Brazilian Wind 5GW IN SIGHT
