Exercícios para o site 8º ano Inglês Profa. Lourdes Friche QUESTÕES OBJETIVAS 1. Leia o texto abaixo: Our blue planet The Earth, the blue planet on which we live, is very special. It is the only planet in the solar system with a temperature that permits water to exist in all three forms - liquid, solid and gas; it alone has rain, rivers and oceans. In fact we should say ocean, because what geographers define as Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Arctic and Antarctic oceans constitute one body of water from which the continents emerge like islands. This vast volume of liquid was the source of life on Earth and has been essential to its existence. It is an immense source of food and a potential source of important minerals and energy. Its margins -beaches - are Man's favorite playground and its beauty has inspired poets for many, many years.
