Starting Up Because of the nature of this Projector, it is not advisable to take any short-cuts when installing or using this product. Please read the entire manual. Familiarise yourself with the product before using it. 10. Detailed Description Projects a circle of colour with a rippling water effect. Various colours including white. Can be stopped on one colour. Contains LEDs for minimal heat and maintenance. Can be DMX controlled (rotation speed). With built-in effects for stand-alone mode. This product is not part of ROMPA s Wi Fi range as it has an internal colour wheel rather than multi-colour LED lamps. 11. Safety Supervise the use of this product. Cease use of the product if it becomes damaged. For indoor use only. This product can become warm after prolonged use. Unplug after use and before any maintenance. Do not stare directly into the light. This product may not be suitable for those with photosensitive epilepsy. This product must be earthed. If any doubt, please consult a suitably qualified person. Ensure the available voltage does not exceed the voltage given in the specification below. Do not crimp the power cord. Maximum operating temperature is 104 F (40 C). Do not operate at higher temperatures. Only carry the product using the hanging/mounting bracket (never by the power cable) Do not connect to a dimmer pack. Do not disconnect the power supply by tugging or pulling the cord. Always connect the fixture to a switched circuit. Never connect the fixture to a rheostat (variable resistor) or dimmer circuit, even if the rheostat or dimmer channel is used only as a 0 to 100% switch.

Installation Please read this entire manual before installing the product, paying particular attention to the Care and Maintenance section. It is recommended that a suitably experienced and qualified person install this projector. This product is for indoor use only (<40 C) in a place with an alternating current (see above specifications). Keep the product away from moisture. Install out of reach. This product is intended for visual purposes only it is not intended to be handled. Keep a minimum distance of 0.5m between the projector s light output and any illuminated surface. Install the projector at a minimal distance of 0.5m from flammable materials. Keep the projector at a minimal distance of 1m from the lighted surface. Connect the projector to the mains with the power plug supplied. Never use a different power supply to the one supplied. Do not connect it to a dimming pack. Keep the air vents free at all times. Never cover the projector, even partially. Do not switch on the projector immediately after it has been exposed to changes in temperature. Leave the projector switched off till it has reached room temperature. Ensure the projector has adequate ventilation (at least 51cm from adjacent surfaces). Ensure no ventilation slots are blocked. If the power link out is intended to be used with multiple fixtures, take into account the length of each power cable and mount the fixtures close enough to one another to accommodate this. Overhead Mounting Install the Water Effects Projector in a suitable place, bearing in mind the following: The construction of the ceiling the projector will be attached to should be able to comfortably support 10 times the weight of the projector. The projector must also be secured with a secondary attachment e.g. a safety cable or chain. Use appropriate fixtures (not included). Adjust the desired inclination angle via the mounting bracket and tighten the bracket adjustment knobs. Loosen the knob, adjust to the desired angle and tighten knob by turning clockwise. Do not use a tool to turn, as this may cause damage.

4 DMX connection This product can be controlled via DMX and linked to other DMX compatible products. If you wish to do this, we suggest that you contact a suitably experienced individual for advice and read the technical information supplied by the manufacturer in the user manual enclosed. GND Insert the power plug into the power input socket (4 in the photograph above). Plug the other end into the mains. The projector can operate in three modes: Automatic Slave DMX controlled (we suggest you do not use this unless you have good experience of setting up and using DMX) Please see 1 on the photograph above. Below is an enlarged image of these DIP switches.

5 Automatic mode Set DIP switch 1 to ON to enable both water effect and colour changing. Set DIP switch 2 to ON to freeze the water effect. The colour still changes. Set DIP switch 3 to ON to freeze the colour. The water effect is still active. Set DIP switch 4 to ON to freeze both colour and water effect. Note: only the highest DIP switch takes effect. The DIP switches will not work together. Only use one of the four modes listed above. If you desire a specific static colour, such as yellow, then switch the unit into a mode where the colour wheel is moving. When the colour wheel rotates to the desired colour, switch the fixture into a mode that does not have the colour wheel moving (DIP switch 1 or 2). Slave mode Connect multiple Water Effect Projectors together. Set DIP switches 1 and 10 to ON to enable slave mode. DMX controlled mode Set DIP switch 10 to the ON position to enable DMX controlled mode. 14. Care and Maintenance Unplug fixture from power before any maintenance. There are no user-serviceable parts inside the projector. Do not attempt to access the interior of the projector. In the unlikely event of product problems, please contact ROMPA. v Protect the power cord against damage and check it regularly for signs of damage. When replacing the fuse, be sure to replace with the same fuse source. Check that all screws are tight and free of corrosion. Make sure that the housing, the lenses, the mounting supports and the installation location (e.g. ceiling) are not deformed, modified or tampered with (e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting supports etc.) Make sure mechanically moving parts don t show signs of wear and tear. Keep the air vents free at all times. Never cover the projector, even partially. Keep the projector away from dust and extreme heat. Use a vacuum or air compressor and a soft brush to remove dust collected on external vents. For sufficient air circulation leave at least 2.5cm in front of the openings. Protect the projector from shocks and abuse. Handle this product with care. Use the projector only as detailed by this manual. Do not attempt to modify the projector.

6 The projector should not be left on all day, every day. Regular operation breaks will prolong the life of the projector. Do not stand directly below the projector when it is being installed, removed or serviced. We recommend that a suitable qualified person check the projector once a year. Clean lenses when the fixture is cool with a mild solution of glass cleaner and a soft, lint-free cotton cloth or lens tissue. Apply solution to the cloth/tissue and drag dirt and grime to the outside of the lens carefully. Gently polish until they are free of haze/lint. Always dry parts thoroughly after cleaning and ensure that product is completely dry before reconnecting to power supply. Cleaning of optical lenses must be carried out regularly to optimise light output. Once this product is eventually exhausted, please dispose of it appropriately and responsibly. 15. Troubleshooting In the unlikely event of product failure, please check the following: Problem: The water effect and colours don t change together Check the settings for the DIP switches Problem: Fuse keeps blowing Check total load placed on the electrical circuit. Problem: Device does not power up Check mains power. Check power cable is plugged into the projector firmly and isn t loose. Por favor leia todo o manual antes de instalar o produto, prestando especial atenção à secção de Cuidados e Manutenção. 2. Recomendamos que a instalação deste produto seja efetuada por um técnico experiente. Este produto deve ser instalado respeitando EN e todas as normas aplicáveis. 3. Este produto deve ser utilizado apenas no interior (<35º) num local com corrente alterna máxima de 240V AC/50Hz. Mantenha este produto afastado da humidade. 4. Instale fora de alcance. Este produto destina-se apenas a fins visuais não se destina a ser manuseado. 5. Mantenha uma distância mínima de 0.5m entre a saída de luz do projetor e qualquer superfície iluminada. Instale o projetor a uma distância mínima de 1m da superfície iluminada. 6. Ligue o projetor à corrente com o cabo fornecido. Não o ligue a um conjunto de escurecimento. 7. Mantenha as grelhas de ventilação sempre desobstruídas. Nunca cubra o projetor, mesmo parcialmente. 8. Não ligue o projetor imediatamente após ter sido exposta a mudanças de temperatura. Deixe o projetor desligado até atingir a temperatura ambiente. Montagem Superior Instale o projetor num local adequado, tendo em conta o seguinte: A construção do teto onde o projetor será suspenso deverá aguentar confortavelmente 10 vezes o peso do projetor. O projetor também deve ser fixado a um cabo de segurança secundário (não incluído). Para montar numa treliça, utilize um grampo apropriado (não incluído) e coloque um parafuso M10 através do centro do suporte e aperte os parafusos do suporte. Conexões DMX-512 Quando aplicável, ligue um cabo XLR na saída fêmea de 3 pinos do controlador (não incluído) e a outra ponta do cabo na entrada macho de 3 pinos do projetor. Pode interligar vários projetores em conjunto através de uma ligação em série. O cabo de ligação em série deve ser um cabo dual core blindado com conetores de entrada e saída XLR. É recomendada a utilização de um terminador DMX em instalações em que o cabo DMX tem de percorrer longas distâncias ou quando está em ambientes ruidosos. O terminador previne que o sinal de controlo digital seja corrompido por ruido elétrico.

10 O terminador DMX é uma simples ficha XLR com um resistor 120Ω entre os pinos 2 e 3, que é ligado na saída XLR do último dispositivo da série. Caraterísticas Por favor observe a imagem abaixo: 1. Seletor DIP 2. Entrada DMX Saída DMX Entrada de corrente e fusível 5. Olho de segurança Introduza o cabo alimentação na respetiva entrada (4 na fotografia acima). Ligue a outra ponta na tomada. O projetor pode funcionar em três modos: Automático Escravo Controlado por DMX Por favor veja a fotografia 1 acima. Abaixo tem uma imagem alargada do seletor DIP.

11 Modo automático Coloque o seletor 1 na posição ON para ativar o efeito da água e a mudança de cores. Coloque o seletor 2 na posição ON para parar o efeito da água. As cores continuam a mudar. Coloque o seletor 3 na posição ON para parar a cor. O efeito de água continua ativo. Coloque o seletor 4 na posição ON para parar o efeito da água e cor. Nota: Apenas o seletor com maior número tem efeito. Modo Escravo Ligue vários Projetores Efeito de Água em conjunto, conforme descrito na secção Conexão DMX512. Coloque os seletores 1 e 10 na posição ON para ativar o modo escravo. Modo Controlado por DMX Coloque o seletor 10 na posição ON para ativar o modo controlado por DMX. Todos os dispositivos controlados por DMX precisam de um endereço digital para que o dispositivo correto responda ao sinal. O endereço digital é o número do canal a partir do qual o dispositivo começa a ouvir o controlador DMX. Pode utilizar o mesmo endereço para um grupo de dispositivos ou pode atribuir um endereço individual a cada um. Quando todos os dispositivos têm o mesmo endereço, todas as unidades vão ouvir o sinal de controlo num canal em particular. Se atribuir endereços individuais, cada dispositivo vai ouvir um canal em separado. Alterar as configurações num canal apenas afeta o dispositivo em questão. Utilize o seletor DIP para configurar os endereços DMX apropriados: Consulte a tabela abaixo para ter uma ideia dos sinais de controlo por canal:

Cuidado e Manutenção Desligue da tomada antes de qualquer manutenção. Não existem peças de manutenção doméstica no interior do projetor. Não tente aceder ao interior do projetor. Na eventualidade de ocorrer um problema com este produto, por favor contacte a Rompa. Proteja o cabo de alimentação de danos. Verifique se apresenta sinais de danos. Verifique se todos os parafusos estão apertados e sem corrosão. Verifique se os encaixes, lentes e suportes não estão deformados ou modificados. Não faça furos extra nos suportes, etc. Verifique se as peças móveis apresentam algum sinal de desgaste, ainda que parcial. Mantenha as grelhas de ventilação sempre livres. Nunca cubra o projetor, mesmo parcialmente. Mantenha o projetor longe do pó de calor extremo. Para uma circulação suficiente de ar, deixe pelo menos 2.5cm na frente da abertura. Proteja o projetor de choques e abusos. Manuseie este produto com cuidado. Utilize o projetor apenas como indicado neste manual. Não tente modificar o projetor. O projetor não deve ficar ligado todo o dia, todos os dias. Pausas regulares no funcionamento vão prolongar a vida do projetor. Não se posicione diretamente por baixo do projetor quando este estiver a ser instalado, removido ou verificado. Recomendamos que uma pessoa qualificada inspecione o projetor uma vez por ano. Remova regularmente o pó dos encaixes e das grelhas de ventilação usando um pano ligeiramente humedecido. Quando este produto eventualmente atingir o seu fim de vida, por favor deposite-o num local apropriado de forma responsável. 15. Resolução de Problemas Na eventualidade deste produto falhar, por favor verifique o seguinte: Problema: Os efeitos da água e cor não mudam juntos Verifique as configurações do seletor DIP.
