1º/2º Semestre Interaction Techniques and Application Fields - Ana Rita Assunção Teixeira; Technologies and Programming of Interactive Systems - Anabela de Jesus Gomes; HCI Project João Orvalho.

Seminar in HCI Objectives of the curricular unit and skills to be developed. Students will participate in HCI Seminar Series to obtain information through bibliographical research or presentations by leaders in the field of Human- Computer Interaction, group discussion, confrontation of points of view and formulating conclusions. The aim of the Seminar in HCI is not only to develop the ability to research or systematicaly review case studies, but also the reasoning and reflection, enabling students to draft clear and objective scientific work in the area. Program Contents Dissemination, reading and discussion of scientific papers recently published. Students will make presentations on the various research activities carried out recently in the area of Human Computer Interaction, providing the development of skills for the presentation of papers. In addition students will conduct an individual research paper on a topic area of their choice in the area of Human Computer Interaction. Seminar in Interactive Technology Objectives of the curricular unit and skills to be developed Students will participate in seminars conducted in lectures by leaders in the area of Interactive Technology. Later, and after each lecture the students will gather in order to do the scientific discussion and development of individual reports. The aim of this seminar is to allow students a comprehensive knowledge of what are the new developments in their area of research. Program Contents Dissemination, reading and discussion of scientific papers published recently. Students will make presentations on the various research activities carried out recently in the área of Interactive Technology, providing skills development for the presentation of papers. In addition, students will conduct an individual research paper on a topic of their choice in the area of Iinteractive Technology.
Objectives of the curricular unit and skills to be developed Experimental learning is a key component of the Masters in HCI. Through a team project, students will apply the knowledge acquired in the analysis and evaluation, implementation and design, allowing the development of work skills in multidisciplinary teams. Students should master the research and scientific research methodologies relevant and necessary to complete their project. This work will be the initiation and preparation of R & D to develop in the curricular unit "HCI Project II." The student should carry out preparatory work to prove his introduction to scientific writing and a research plan that allow him to compose and deliver the project with a report. Program Contents Writing a work plan aimed at the realization of original applied research leading to the production of a technical-scientific report. HCI Project II Objectives of the curricular unit and skills to be developed Students individually or in teams will develop a work-project composed of applied research components. The aim of this project is to enable students to develop product-solutions, preferably in a business environment and context of internship. Program Contents Writing a work plan aimed at the realization of original applied research leading to the production of a technical-scientific report.
