Pedro Salvado é Director de Coordenação Tecnológica e Desenho de Soluções, na PT Inovação. 1999 - Director de Serviços e Redes Móveis, na PT Inovação 1998 - Director de Gestão de Redes e Serviços. Desenvolveu grande parte da sua actividade profissional no âmbito da comutação telefónica, tendo sido responsável pela orientação do projecto nacional ELD na sua fase de desenvolvimento comercial, projecto SICOM - Sistema Integrado de Comunicações Militares e projecto de desenvolvimento da ELDIS - Estação Local Digital com Integração de Serviços. 1991 - responsável técnico pelo trabalho do CET no projecto PO- Network, no âmbito do programa SFS II (Science for Stability) da NATO. Foi membro da equipa de desenvolvimento do projecto ELD - Estação Local Digital e ETD- Estação de transito digital. Participou em projectos comunitário do programa RACE da Comunidade Económica Europeia. Foi representante nacional no ETSI tendo participado no grupo de especialistas que especificaram as normas nacionais para o acesso à RDIS. É licenciado em Engenharia Electrónica e de Telecomunicações pela Universidade de Aveiro, 1983 e desde então a trabalhar no Centro de Estudos de Telecomunicações em Aveiro (agora PT Inovação), Dirk Trossen, Senior Researcher in the Computer Laboratory at Cambridge University, has more than ten years of experience in network architectures and wireless technology with main contributions in the area of inter-domain networking, seamless handovers and physical network overlays. He designed a platform for participatory wireless sensing, available under open source license. Dirk is one of the main drivers of the EIFFEL think tank. He is currently technical lead for the EU project PSIRP, working on a novel internetworking architecture based on information. He also technical leads a UK-funded project on lifestyle management. Dirk held prior positions as a Chief Researcher with BT Research and as a Principal Scientist at Nokia Research. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Technical University of Aachen, Germany. He published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers in international conferences and journals and has currently 23 international patents.
Luis M. Correia was born in Portimao, Portugal, on October 1958. He received the Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from IST- TUL (Technical University of Lisbon) in 1991, where he is currently a Professor in Telecommunications, with his work focused in Wireless/Mobile Communications in the areas of propagation, channel characterisation, radio networks, traffic, and services. He has acted as a consultant for Portuguese mobile communications operators and the telecommunications regulator, besides other public and private entities. Besides being responsible for research projects at the national level, he has been active in various ones within European frameworks of RACE, ACTS, IST, ICT and COST (where he also served as evaluator and auditor), having coordinated two COST projects, and taken leadership responsibilities at the workpackage and task levels in various ones. He has been supervising students at both the M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels, having authored more than 270 papers and communications in international and national journals and conferences, for which he has served also as a reviewer, editor, and board member. He was part of the COST Domain Committee on ICT. He was the Chairman of the Technical Programme Committee of several conferences, namely PIMRC 2002. He is part of the Expert Advisory Group and of the Steering Board of the European emobility platform, and the Chairman of its Working Group on Applications Juanjo Hierro currently holds the position of Chief Technologist on Software Technologies at Telefónica I+D. I obtained a degree in Computer Science in 1990 from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM) and own a certificate of research proficiency by the UPM. Leads several key innovation projects at Telefónica I+D involving research and open source development of sw platforms and technologies related to the Future Web of Services (sometimes referred as next-generation SOA) including front-end and backend Mashup technologies, and Cloud-related technologies used in IaaS/PaaS Clouds or supporting SaaS and MaaS (Mashup as a Service). Chairs the Morfeo Open Source Community (http://www.morfeoproject.org) aiming to carry out open R&D on standard vertical applications and basic SW technologies around which new business opportunities can be created. Is vice-chairman at the Steering Committee of NESSI, the European Technology Platform on Software and Services (http://wwww.nessieurope.eu). Is co-chair of the NESSI WGs on Service Oriented Infrastructures and User/Service Interaction. In Spain, holds a vicepresident position at the Steering Committee of INES, the Spanish counterpart of NESSI (http://www.ines.org.es) He is member of several Advisory Commissions (e.g., design of new titulations by the School of Computer Science of the UPM, design of the IMDEA Software Institute of Madrid). His main areas are: Technologies related to the Future Web of Services (sometimes also referred as next generation SOA). This includes Front-end and Backend Mashup technologies as well as event-driven or rule-based orchestration engines. Cloud Technologies, including technologies to build IaaS/PaaS Clouds as well as SaaS and MaaS (Mashup as a Service) solutions on top.
Pierre-Yves DANET is a graduate of a High French engineer school, he has been involved in many ISDN standardisation activities before taking in charge Home services development within France Telecom R&D. He has participated to many collaborative projects (Eurescom, Celtic, FP4, FP6, ) bringing its competencies on home services and home platforms. He is the France Telecom delegate to NEM, the European technology platform in charge of auidiovisual/telecom convergence and is appointed as the vice chair in charge of the strategy and the editor of the X-ETP future Internet SRA and the X-ETP Grand societal Challenges Dr. JOAO SCHWARZ DASILVA was born in 1944 in Portugal. He received a PhD on the Performance Analysis of Mobile Packet Radio Systems from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada in 1981 and a Master and Bachelors degree on Electrical Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique, Montreal, Canada in 1971 and 1970. After numerous positions in Canada and Switzerland, he joined the European Commission in 1991, where he took on several positions. In 2004 he was appointed Director of the Network and Communication and further on Director of Converged Networks and Services, where he had the overall responsibility for all the R&D work relating to mobile communications, broadband networks including satellite communications, audio-visual and home networks; trust and security, software engineering and ICT for business applications. In 2005 he initiated a major European R&D drive toward the Future Internet, which has led to the establishment of the Future Internet Assembly and the Future Internet Forum. He left the European Commission in 2010 to become Research Fellow with the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Security, Reliability and Trust with the University of Luxembourg. He is the recipient of the first UMTS award by the UMTS Forum. He is a honorary member of the Wireless World Research Forum. He is the author of some 50 technical and scientific papers and books and has been invited as guest editor of IEEE Communications and Personal Communications Magazine. From 1991 to 1996 he was at the Institute of Parallel and Distributed High-Performance Systems (IPVR) of the University of Stuttgart, working on middleware for distributed systems, tele-cooperation and workflow systems, and receiving his Ph.D. In 1997 he joined Sony s R&D lab in Stuttgart and was responsible for various ACTS/IST projects (OnTheMove, AMASE, BRAIN, Main, and Youngster). se tornou YDreams. Desempenhou funções de Gestor de Projectos (2000), Chief Technology Officer (2002) e actualmente desempenha a função de Director de Desenvolvimento de Software Estratégico (2004). Desenhou e desenvolveu YDreams FluidMapping, uma plataforma de GIS para.net. Desenhou e desenvolveu o projecto OpCir, um gestor online de frotas de recolha e distribuição, com cálculo de melhoras rotas passando por vários pontos. Este foi usado pela Valnor para melhorar a eficiência na recolha de resíduos recicláveis no Distrito de Portalegre. Desenvolveu o software para o projecto igarment, um projecto financiado pela Agência Espacial Europeia para o desenvolvimento de um fato inteligente para bombeiros florestais. O fato transmite por rádio os dados biométricos e posição geográfica do bombeiro. Lidera a equipa que desenvolve uma plataforma para aplicações de Realidade Aumentada e Natural User Interfaces (NUI) em.net. António Vieira, Director Executivo do CeNTI desde a criação e instalação em 2006, liderou anteriormente o departamento de inovação e vigilância tecnológica do CITEVE. Tem mais de 10 anos de experiência em gestão de tecnologias, inovação e projectos, assim como no desenvolvimento de novos materiais, processos, produtos e outras oportunidades tecnológicas e de negócio empresarial.
