Quando o navio partir de um porto de águas interiores é permitido aumentar o carregamento de uma quantidade que corresponde ao peso do combustível e demais materiais a serem consumidos desde o ponto de partida até atingir o mar. 2. Quando o navio navegar em água doce de densidade relativa unitária a linha de carga apropriada poderá ser submersa pela redução para água doce indicada. Quando a densidade não for unitária, a redução deverá ser proporcional a diferença entre 1,025 e a densidade real.
