Nascido em 1982, Ribeirão Preto, Brasil Vive e trabalha em Amsterdão e São Paulo O trabalho de Adriano Amaral desenvolve-se em torno da natureza das coisas - a sua substância, os seus valores, a sua materialidade e mutabilidade. Esbatendo as fronteiras entre objeto e espaço; composição e dispersão; pintura e escultura, o artista cria instalações site- specific que respondem diretamente aos elementos espaciais arquitetónicos presentes no espaço expositivo. Amaral Recebeu o MA pela Royal College of Art, Londres (2012-2014); actualmente frequenta a residência artística na De Ateliers, em Amsterdão (2014-2016). Em 2014 foi ainda distinguido com o prémio - Kenneth Armitage Young Sculptor Prize. Expôs individualmente na galeria Transversal, São Paulo (2012); na Space in Between, Londres (2014). Blurring the boundaries between object and space; composition and dispersion; painting and sculpture, Amaral creates site-specific installations, responding to the spatial and architectural elements of the exhibition space or gallery. Adriano Amaral, born 1982, in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. He received his MA in Sculpture from The Royal College of Art, London, UK (2012-2014); currently he is an artist in residency at De Ateliers, in Amsterdam (2014-2016).
