1 ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL LAW [ ] GENERAL Lective Year: Disciplinay Group: Ciências Jurídico-Administrativas e Fiscais ECTS: 5,0 Period: Daytime classes, Evening classes Semester: S2 OBJECTIVES 1 - Define and understand the Economic and Financial Law; 2 - Develop the ability to analyze and articulate the different sources of the Economic and Financial Law; 3 - Define and understand the concept of company, corporation; 4 - Define and understand cooperatives and public companies, state-owned companies; 5 - Define and understand the Economic and Financial criminal law; Define and understand the criminal liability of companies, corporations and entrepreneurs; 6 - Define and understand the "business litigation", company or corporation litigation ; 7 - Define and understand the consumer law, consumer protection ; 8 - Define and understand the competition law; 9 - Define and understand the law of monetary and financial markets; 10 - Define and understand the regulating the environment law; 11 - Define and understand the public financial law; 12 - Developing skills for resolving practical cases; LEARNING OUTCOMES At the end of the semester, students should be able to: 1. Identify and distinguish various economic and financial rights and duties; 2. Understand the systematic place of economic and financial rights and duties in the context of the law disciplines;

2 3. Know and understand the basic principles of ordering the domain of Economic and Financial Law; 4. Understand the differences between the world of Economic Law, Business and Finance through theunderstanding of substantive law and adjective law and imposing punishments that live within it (the law ofregulation). 5. Identify the role of jurisprudence and doctrine in the discipline of Economic and Financial Law; 6. Develop the capacity of analysis and synthesis; 7. Apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the resolution of cases of a certain complexity; 8. Solve problems involving consumer law and/or the financial law, among other areas of no less importance. How,more or less indirectly, the right to a healthy environment, among others. Developing theoretical and practical perspectives in

5 the contextof related topics, too, within the Economic Law.None of this can be achieved if students do not have knowledge about the syllabus pointed in particular about thebasics of Economic Law and its practical application.these are students who have never had lessons of Economic Law, fundamental core of any rule of law anddemocratic Social. It is essential that students learn the fundamental basis, establishing the proper connectionsbetween Economic Law and some of its components.
