Objetivos de aprendizagem (conhecimentos, aptidões e competências) A unidade curricular tem como objetivo desenvolver e aprofundar as competências linguística, comunicacional e cultural do estudante. No final da UC, o aluno deverá: Competências Genéricas : Expressar-se correta e fluentemente quer no registo oral quer no registo escrito; ter consciência da estrutura da língua portuguesa; mobilizar as competências culturais de forma crítica; dominar as competências de autoaprendizagem; dominar os conhecimentos de linguística necessários à compreensão dos mecanismos da língua. Competências Específicas : Analisar criticamente diversos tipos de textos e temas de forma coerente; produzir textos de vários tipos; pesquisar, selecionar e organizar textos sobre um tema específico e apresentar o resultado da investigação de acordo com as normas académicas; refletir criticamente sobre a sua própria produção escrita e oral, identificando os pontos fortes e fracos, de modo a conseguir reformular os enunciados de acordo com o registo académico. 3 Conteúdos programáticos 1. COMPETÊNCIA LINGUÍSTICA 1.1. Sistematização e aprofundamento dos conhecimentos sobre Mecanismos de estruturação textual Construção da coesão, da coerência. Estratégia de construção. O estilo. 2. COMPETÊNCIA COMUNICACIONAL: 2.1. Como preparar e estruturar uma apresentação oral; definir e identificar as barreiras à comunicação e os comportamentos fundamentais para uma boa comunicação oral Análise e produção de textos; recolha e tratamento da informação; revisão de normas de apresentação de trabalhos/ensaios escritos e orais: introdução, metodologia, desenvolvimento,conclusão, índice, bibliografia, anexos. 3. COMPETÊNCIA CULTURAL/LITERÁRIA 3.1. A leitura Orientação da leitura de textos de autores portugueses e estrangeiros contemporâneos. Análise de textos selecionados de autores portugueses e estrangeiros, bem como de texto daimprensa como base para debates, exposições, etc. Estudos de temas relacionados com a realidade sociocultural portuguesa contemporânea. Metodologias de ensino (avaliação incluída) Os princípios metodológicos das unidades curriculares de Práticas Textuais e Cultura Portuguesa II são os da comunicação e interação, com o processo de ensino e aprendizagem centrado no aluno. A avaliação da unidade curricular é constituída por uma componente distribuída e por um exame final. O estudante que obtiver doze valores na avaliação da componente distribuída de uma unidade curricular ficará dispensado do exame final. A avaliação da componente distribuída e do exame final correspondem, respetivamente, a 40% e 60% da classificação final da unidade curricular. A avaliação da componente distribuída é constituída por: 50% - Teste; 20% - Apresentação oral (trabalho individual); 30% - Ensaio sobre obra literária (trabalho individual). At the end of the course, the student must be able to: Demonstrate language knowledge and awareness; Talk and write correctly and fluently; Mobilize cultural skills critically; Master the self-learning skills; Master the necessary linguistic skills; Critically analyse and interpret different types of texts and themes consistently; Produce texts of various types Understand and produce academic writing Critically reflect on their own writing and oral production, and identify its strengths and weaknesses. 7 Syllabus 1. Language skills 1.1. Language analysis and awareness 1.2. Mechanisms of textual structure: cohesion; consistency building and style. 2. Communication skills 2.1 How to prepare and structure an oral presentation: rules for effective communication; how to create a good communication style; define and identify the barriers to communication and the fundamental behaviours for good oral communication 2.2. Analysis and production of texts Collecting and processing of information Organization of written and oral assignments: introduction, methodology, development, conclusion, tables of contents, references, attachments. 3. Cultural and literary skills 3.1. The act reading 3.2. Decoding meaning 3.3. Guided reading of texts by Portuguese authors and other contemporary foreign authors 3.4. The Portuguese sociocultural context Teaching methodologies (including evaluation) The underlying methodology of the English for Hospitality curricular units of this course is that of the communicative and interactive learner-centered approach to language teaching and learning. Teaching methods include: oral presentations, debates, reading and writing tasks; language study, word study, individual and group tasks. The assessment for this curricular unit consists of a distributed component and a final examination. Students who obtain a grade of twelve or more in the distributed component of the curricular unit will be exempt from the final exam. The distributed component assessment and the final exam correspond, respectively, to 40% and 60% of the final grade of the curricular unit.
