"He who loves me will keep my word." he says in this weekend's Gospel reading. To keep the word of Christ is to know that it is an important treasure that should always be in our heart. To hear the Word and to meditate on it is to experience the grace of Salvation that it has, and more importantly, it means to put into practice what Jesus teaches us. There is no way to really hear the Word of God and not put it into practice in our daily life, in our living with our brothers and sisters and in our community. Father Celso Junior, CSsR. Pastor Second Collection Communicating God s Word May 14 & 15, 2016 When the Word is truth itself within us, the peace of Christ dwells in our hearts because they will have the peace of knowing that we are doing what is correct, even though at times this is very difficult. Jesus also gives us in the Gospel words of comfort: "Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid." This gives us the certitude that Jesus is always with us as a good friend, giving courage in the midst of sickness, and other difficulties. Jesus is our best friend. This weekend we rejoice with the children who are making their First Holy Communion in our parish. They have been well prepared to experience the grace of receiving the body of Christ for the first time. May they always be able to grow in their knowledge and love directed to heaven. Pastor Meus queridos Paroquianos, Amar Jesus Cristo significa guardar a sua Palavra. Quem me ama guarda minhas Palavras Ele diz no Evangelho deste final de semana. Atenção No domingo, dia 01 de Maio, haverá a Primeira Comunhão na missa das 9am, e NÃO haverá a Missa das 10:45am. Guardar a Palavra de Cristo é saber que ela é um tesouro importante que deve permanecer em nosso coração, é também ouvir a Palavra e meditar sobre ela, experimentar a graça da Salvação que ela contém e mais importante do que tudo, é colocar em prática o que Jesus ensina. Não há como ouvir a Palavra de Deus e não coloca-la em prática em nossa vida diária, no convívio com os irmãos e com a nossa comunidade. Uma vez que a Palavra é uma verdade em nós, a paz de Cristo habita em nossos corações, porquê teremos o coração tranquilo de estar fazendo o correto, ainda que por muitas vezes difícil. Jesus nos dá esta palavra de conforto no Evangelho também: Não se perturbe nem se intimide o vosso coração, é a certeza que Ele está conosco sempre, como um bom amigo nos dando coragem diantes das doenças, dificuldades. Jesus é o nosso melhor amigo! Nós nos alegramos este final de semana com as crianças que estão fazendo a primeira comunhão em nossa paróquia. Muitos catequisandos experimentando a graça do corpo de Cristo pela primeira vez! Que eles possam crescer na sabedoria e no amor sempre em direção ao céu! Que sejam acolhidos pela nossa comunidade com muito amor e carinho! Que Deus abençoe todos vocês e lhes dê uma santa semana! Procissão Luminosa com N.
