Church April 26, My dear parishioners, This weekend as you are aware by now, we are having the kickoff week end for the new Archbishop s Annual Appeal which is called We are Living Stones Capital Campaign. Next Sunday at all the masses we will be having the collection for this campaign. If you decide to just make a pledge, please feel free to do so. As I explained last week, our parish has a major goal over the next three or four years but our goal this year is $17,000. If we do raise $17,000 then half of this money will be returned to our parish to help pay for the newly paved parking lot. As you know, the Archdiocese actually helped us pay for the repaving of the parking lot and our parish had to pick up the rest. This part then will be returned to us, if we do reach this goal. providing you with an envelope for your pledge and next Sunday we will be having a special collection at all of the Masses. So please be as generous as possible in this collection maybe even more generous than you might have planned. So my dear parishioners, this is an opportunity our parish has to provide for our parish s future. Please consider in a generous contribution to this campaign. We are thankful for all of your contributions over the years and are counting on your support for this most important diocesan campaign. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to come and talk to me about this and we will provide you with an opportunity to clear up any doubts and also to sign up for this campaign. Krug CSsR Pastor Second Collection Communicating God s Word May 09 & 10, 2015 Once again I need to remind you of the Archdiocese s generosity to our parish over the years with regard to the salaries both of the sister s and one of our priests for over 15 years. We most certainly do not have any complaints with regard to the Archdiocese and their wonderful generosity toward our Apostolate here in Saint James. So we have been very blessed by the financial help we have received from the Archdiocese: our sister s salaries, and their benefits, also the salary of one of our priests and his benefits, the use of 3 cars for the Brazilian apostolate and the expenses for these cars besides insurance. I have repeated this several times recently as I consider this to be very important that you are all aware of this situation and so for the need to be extra-generous to this campaign of the Archdiocese. As you are aware from times past, these campaigns usually are in the form of a pledge at least for our American community. We are

Church 26 de April Abril 26, de CALENDÁRIO SEMANAL DA COMUNIDADE PORTUGUESA E BRASILEIRA Meus queridos paroquianos, Nesse final de semana como vocês já sabem, lançaremos a nova campanha do Arcebispo que se chama Nós somos Pedras Vivas. Sábado e domingo quem vem nas missas teremos a segunda coleta para essa campanha. Se quiser simplesmente fazer uma promessa de doação poderão fazer assim, mas como fazíamos no passado faremos várias coletas durante o ano para alcançar a nossa meta. A nossa meta esse ano é $17,000. É mais alto do que os outros anos por vários motivos. Primeiro sempre foi mais alto mas eu como pastor chorava na diocese para diminuir a nossa cota constando as dificuldades financeiras da paróquia e a situação econômica do nosso povo. E de fato eles cortaram quase pela metade. Mas esse ano devido o fato de que recebemos mais ou menos $20,000 para ajudar pagar o estacionamento, por isso que pediram essa quantidade. Vamos ver! E se recebermos esse dinheiro, daí metade voltará para a paróquia. De novo preciso recorder vocês da generosidade da Arquidiocese para a nossa comunidade paroquial. Como já lhes expliquei, durante mais de 15 anos, a diocese tem pago os salario das Irmãs, os seguros de saúde, providenciou um carro para elas, e também paga o salário de um dos nossos padres. Isso foi muito generoso por parte da Arquidiocese. Tenho repetido isso várias vezes por que é importante que vocês saibam disso. E agora peço que vocês sejam muito generosos nessa campanha para o Arquidiocese. É importante que nós façamos a nossa parte. Nesse fim de semana vamos providenciar com um envelope para fazer sua contribuição. Uma coisa é importante, que todos vocês que fazem uma contribuição, escreva seus nomes no envelope porque vocês poderão declarar essa contribuição no seu income tax (Imposto de Renda) e descontar. No fim da semana que vem teremos essa coleta e durante o ano teremos outros momentos para completar essa meta. Assim peço que sejam bem generosos e até mais generosos que pensava ser. Essa é uma oportunidade para a nossa paróquia contribuir para o nosso futuro. Agradecemos a todos por sua grande generosidade que tem mostrado sempre.
