4 Challenges and risk mitigation strategies Main difficulties Delay for all those projects that had to request the authorization from the National Committee for Data Protection (this is compulsory when gathering data); The data gathering - is also very difficult at the Azores and Madeira islands Main strengths The PO visited the promoters at least twice during the project s execution. Those projects at risk were closely monitored (technical and financial execution level); The team and the cooperation with relevant departments at ACSS; The excellent collaboration with the promoters and DPP, FMO, NFP, Norwegian Embassy in Portugal, the Certification Authority, the Executive Board of ACSS and the Ministry of Health. 4
