4 5 A Empresa The company A LABICER é uma empresa portuguesa situada em Bustos, no distrito de Aveiro, fundada em Ocupa uma área de m 2, dos quais m 2 correspondem a área coberta. Nessa altura a aquisição de um conjunto de patentes e exclusivos internacionais inovadores na área dos pavimentos e revestimentos esteve na sua génese. Iniciou a produção no princípio de 2005, empregando actualmente 99 trabalhadores. Para tal, a LABICER está dotada de excelentes recursos humanos e materiais sendo de salientar a admissão de quadros técnicos de excelente formação e currículo, bem como uma forte aposta em laboratórios devidamente equipados. Mas tão importante como a fabricação de produtos de excepção é a aposta da LABICER num conceito de serviço completo, estudando as diversas aplicações e aconselhamento das melhores técnicas de colocação nos casos específicos, e ainda o acompanhamento do cliente até à sua satisfação total. O Produto LABICER é obtido por um processo de prensagem a seco com pressão muito alta de um pó resultante da mistura de matérias-primas criteriosamente seleccionadas e posterior cozedura a uma temperatura bastante elevada, por forma a obter um material de características técnicas inigualáveis. LABICER product is obtained by a dry pressing process with a very high pressure of the resulting powder mixture of raw materials carefully selected and subsequent firing at a temperature high enough in order to obtain a unique material with unique specifications. O PORCELÂNICO TÉCNICO é obtido por um sistema de dupla carga através de uma mistura de pós corados e micronizados, realizado com pressão de prensagem e- levada e cozido a altas temperaturas. Daqui resulta uma elevada resistência à abrasão profunda bem como a manchas e ao ataque químico. Este produto possibilita ainda diferentes acabamentos de superfície (natural, acetinado, polido e estruturado). O PORCELÂNICO DECORADO ESMALTA- DO é obtido por prensagem de pasta neutra ou corada, seguida de uma aplicação de esmaltes e decorações em linha. A utilização de uma camada de esmalte provoca uma redução na resistência ao desgaste. 69 Aplicação e manutenção laying and maintenance ENCOMENDA ORDER Ao efectuar a escolha do produto LABICER adequado às suas necessidades, verifique se as características técnicas deste se ajustam ao tipo de utilização que lhe pretende dar. A necessidade de uma aplicação, limpeza e manutenção adequadas são factores muito importantes para que se possa realçar a verdadeira qualidade dos nossos produtos. Como tal, recomendamos o seguimento de algumas regras, devendo estas no entanto depender dos critérios estabelecidos pelos profissionais de colocação e assentamento. By choosing a LABICER product appropriate to your needs, you must insure that the technical characteristics are adequate to the intended type of use. Correct and adequate application, cleaning and maintenance are very important factors which will allow you to highlight the true quality of our products. As such, we recommend some guidelines, however these should depend on the criteria established by the placement and laying professionals. RECEPÇÃO DO MATERIAL SHIPPING PREPARAÇÃO DO SUPORTE SUPPORT PREPARATION Antes do assentamento, verificar se a superfície onde vai ser aplicado o produto está plana, firme e isenta de substâncias que possam alterar a aderência da cola (Fig.1). A escolha e o modo de utilização das colas não são da responsabilidade da LABICER. Caso se trate duma aplicação sobre um pavimento já existente são recomendadas a utilização de colas apropriadas a este tipo de aplicação. De forma a garantir uma boa aderência do grés porcelânico, a LABICER recomenda a utilização de uma cola de ligantes mistos (cimento + resina), com características de flexibilidade para suportar as deformações mecânicas e as dilatações térmicas do suporte. Para situações e condições extremas ou no caso de pavimentos aquecidos, recomendamos a escolha duma cola específica e para estas situações a consulta do fabricante de colas é fundamental. Before the laying, you should inspect the surface where you are going to lay the product in order to make sure that it is even, firm and possesses no substances which might alter the glue s adhesion capacity (Fig. 1). LABICER is not responsible for the choice of the glue and its manner of use. If you are going to lay the product over pre-existing floor tiles, we recommend that you use a glue which is appropriate for this type of installation. In order to insure a good adhesion of the stoneware tiles, LABICER recommends the use of a glue with mixed binders (cement + resin), with flexibility characteristics which supports the mechanical deformations and thermal expansions of the support. In extreme situations and conditions or in the case of heated floors, we recommend that you select specific glue; in such instances it is essential that you consult the glue manufacturer Antes da aplicação verificar sempre se o material fornecido é suficiente para a obra. No cálculo da área a pavimentar, aconselha-se sempre a inclusão de uma percentagem adicional como reserva para cortes, possíveis substituições ou novas obras, que deve variar entre 5 e 10%. Aquando da conferência, verificar se o material corresponde ao modelo, à escolha (qualidade), lote (tonalidade) e calibre desejado. Verifique todas as caixas para ter a certeza que tudo está correcto. As reclamações depois do material aplicado não são aceites pela LABICER, caso o defeito seja visível antes da aplicação do material. Conserve os dados do material impressos na embalagem. Before the laying, you should always make sure that you have enough quantity of supplied material for the intended task. When measuring the area to cover with tiles, we recommend that you include an additional percentage as backup for cuts, possible substitutions or new tasks; this percentage should be between 5 to 10%. When checking, you should also make sure that the supplied material matches the desired model, choice (quality), lot (color) and caliber. Inspect all the boxes to make sure that all the supplied material matches your order. LABICER does not accept any complaints after the installation of the material, should its defect be clearly visible before the placement. You should keep the material data printed on the package for future use. COLAS GLUES Aquando da operação de assentamento do pavimento, aplicar a cola de ligantes mistos sobre o suporte e espalhar com uma talocha dentada 6X6mm para mosaicos com dimensões até 30X30cm ou com 9X9mm para mosaicos de formatos superiores. No caso dos formatos superiores, aconselhamos ainda o uso do sistema de dupla colagem (aplicação de cola no verso da peça e no suporte), devendo o verso da peça ficar completamente preenchido com a massa de um modo uniforme (Figs. 2, 3, 4). During the laying of the floor tiles, you should apply the glue of mixed binders over the support and spread it using a studded trowel with 6 x 6 mm, appropriate for tile pieces with dimensions of up to 30 X 30 cm, or 9 x 9 mm, appropriate for bigger tile pieces. In the case of the bigger tile pieces, we also recommend the use of the double gluing system (laying of glue in the back of the tile as well as in the support), and the back of the tile should be completely filled with glue (Figs. 2, 3, 4)

70 APLICAÇÃO DO MATERIAL LAYING THE MATERIAL JUNTAS JOINTS 5 6 Durante a aplicação, devem-se retirar peças de várias caixas devendo a sua aplicação ser feita de um modo aleatório. Deste modo, evitam-se as ligeiras diferenças de tonalidade e algumas diferenças dimensionais que possam surgir. Utilizar martelos de borracha branca ou silicone para bater o material (Fig.5). É desaconselhado o uso de qualquer outro martelo de borracha uma vez que pode deixar marcas no material [ex. martelo de borracha preta]. É aconselhável a utilização de uma junta mínima de 2mm uma vez que estas têm a função de absorver as tensões geradas entre as peças, as camadas adesivas, o suporte e a estrutura. Permite ainda a passagem de vapor de água deixando o suporte respirar. De modo a garantir um bom alinhamento das juntas, as peças devem ser colocadas com o apoio de cruzetas (Fig.6). No caso dos produtos polidos, antes da aplicação da junta, aconselhamos a impermeabilização com FILA MP/90 (segundo instruções do fornecedor), como protecção do pavimento revestimento aplicado. During the laying, you should remove tile pieces from several boxes and place in an alternating manner. This aims to avoid any slight color as well as dimensional differences which might exist. Use white rubber or silicone hammers to tap the tiles (Fig. 5). We do not recommend the use of any other kind of rubber hammer as it might stain the material [ex. black rubber hammer]. We recommend the use of at least a 2mm joint; it functions by absorbing the tensions generated between the tile pieces, the adhesive layers, the support and the structure. It also permits the passage of water vapor thus allowing the support to breathe. In order to insure the proper alignment of the joints, the pieces should be placed with the help of crosspieces (Fig. 6). In the case of polished products, before the application of the joint, we advise the sealing with FILA MP/90 (according instructions of the supplier), as protection of the floor/wall applied. No caso das juntas, é de todo desaconselhada a aplicação do material sem junta uma vez que esta tem a função de permitir que os movimentos da estrutura e suporte não se transmitam ao pavimento, assim como permite também absorver as mínimas diferenças dimensionais presentes em todos os produtos cerâmicos, bem como pequenos defeitos de aplicação. Não é aconselhável a utilização de juntas verdes ou pretas. A operação de rejuntamento deve ser feita 24h após o assentamento para que o cimento cola ligue bem e seque completamente. É aconselhado o uso de uma espátula de borracha, comprimindo-a em movimentos de ida e volta de forma a conseguirmos uma distribuição uniforme da junta. Os resíduos de aplicação da mesma devem ser retirados cerca de 30 minutos após a aplicação e com uma esponja húmida (Fig.7). In what concerns the joints, we do not recommend the installation of the material without joints, as it is their function to allow the movements of the structure and support and to prevent that these movements are transmitted to the floor. They also absorb the minimum dimensional differences present in all ceramic products as well minor laying defects/errors. The rejoining task should be done 24 hours after the laying so that the fixing cement bonds properly and dries completely. We recommend the use of a rubber spatula, compressing it in back and forth movements in order to achieve a uniform distribution of the joint. Any residues from the laying of the joint should be removed within 30 minutes of the laying with a wet sponge (Fig. 7). Após estas operações concluídas, existem restos de materiais que têm que ser removidos o mais rapidamente possível, requerendo algumas precauções, tais como: Não utilizar produtos ácidos para limpar um pavimento recém colocado, sob o risco de deteriorar as juntas; Não utilizar espátulas metálicas ou material abrasivo para limpar, sendo recomendado o uso de esponjas naturais; Não utilizar água em demasia durante a limpeza; Nunca utilizar produtos que contenham ácido fluorídrico já que este ácido ataca qualquer tipo de cerâmica After the conclusion of these tasks, there will be residues of materials which should be removed as soon as possible, and which require some precautions, such as: Do not use acid products to clean newly installed floor tiles as it might deteriorate the joints; Do not use metallic squeegees or abrasive material to clean the material. We recommend the use of natural sponges; Do not use excessive amounts of water during the cleaning; Never use products which contain hydrofluoric acid as it attacks all kinds of ceramic products.

71 LIMPEZA CLEANING Para a limpeza dos produtos metalizados após a sua aplicação, a LABICER recomenda o produto DETERDEK (FILA) seguindo as instruções de utilização indicadas pelo fornecedor. No final de obra e uma vez terminada a aplicação e limpeza do pavimento Labicer (Figs. 8 e 9), recomendamos a protecção do pavimento durante o resto da obra, cobrindo-o com cartão canelado a fim de evitar quaisquer danos que a superfície possa vir a sofrer. É desaconselhado no entanto o uso de plástico uma vez que pode tornar-se escorregadio. Para limpeza diária e manutenção do produto Labicer, recomendamos FILA- CLEANER (FILA) seguindo as instruções do fornecedor. O uso de ceras ou outros produtos oleosos é desaconselhado uma vez que o produto Labicer possui uma porosidade praticamente nula pelo que não absorveria praticamente este tipo de produto. 8 9 TIPO DE MANCHA STAIN TYPE CERVEJA; BEER CAFÉ; COFFEE COCA-COLA; COKE VERNIZ; VARNISH OXIDAÇÕES; OXIDATIONS CIMENTO; CEMENT CALCÁRIOS; LIMESTONE ALCATRÃO; TAR CERA DE VELAS; WAX CANDLES PS/87 SR/95 DETERDEK FILASOLV NOPAINTSTAR LABICER recommends the product DETERDEK (FILA) (following the instructions for use provided by its supplier) to clean any metal products. At the end of the work and upon completion of the laying and cleanup stages (Figs. 8 e 9), we recommend that you cover the Labicer floor tiles during the remainder of the work with cardboard in order to prevent any possible damages which might occur to its surface. We do not recommend the use of plastic as it might become slippery. We recommend FILA CLEANER (FILA) (following the instructions provided by its supplier) for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the Labicer product. We do not recommend the use of waxes and other oil based products as the Labicer products possess a porosity rate of practically zero so it would virtually not absorb any part of this type of product. Em caso de derrame de algum produto susceptível de produzir mancha, limpá-lo no mais curto espaço de tempo possível de forma a que não seque, uma vez que secando vai dificultar a limpeza à posteriori. Se a mancha mesmo assim persistir recomendamos o uso de produto de limpeza específico em função da mancha. No quadro seguinte estão indicados alguns tipos de manchas e os respectivos produtos aconselhados como possíveis soluções de remoção. Should you spill any product susceptible to stain the product, you should clean the product as soon as possible before it dries, as it will then be much harder to remove and clean the product. Should the stain persist, we recommend the use of a specific cleaning product depending on the type of stain. Next you shall find some types of stains and the respective products recommended for its removal as well as possible removal solutions: PASTILHA ELÁSTICA; GUM COLA; GLUE BORRACHA MARTELO; RUBBER HAMMER TINTA DE ESFEROGRÁFICA; INK PEN NICOTINA; NICOTINE AUTOCOLANTES; STICKERS TINTAS DE CABELO; HAIR DIES Em caso de existirem dúvidas na adequabilidade do produto, é sempre conveniente fazer um teste numa peça de reserva ou em alguma zona menos visível. Por questões de segurança, no uso de produtos químicos aconselhamos que o faça com moderação e sempre seguindo as indicações do fabricante. Relembramos que o uso de produtos que contenham ácido fluorídrico é totalmente desaconselhado.
