3 PRODUCT SETUP ROUTER MODE SETUP PC Step 1 Position your router close to your modem and the computer that is already online. Place this router in an open area of your intended work area for better wireless coverage. ENGLISH Router Modem Router Modem Step 2 Unplug the Ethernet cable from your modem that is connected to your computer. Plug it into the port labeled WAN on the router. Connect the supplied power adapter into the power port on the back of the router and then plug into a power outlet or surge protector. Verify the power light is lit. PC Modem Step 3 Plug one end of the included Ethernet cable into the port labeled 1 on the back of the router. Plug the other end of this cable into the Ethernet port on your computer. Router WELCOME TO THE D-LINK SETUP WIZARD Step 4 From the computer you connected to the router, open a web browser. If you are not automatically directed to the D-Link Setup Wizard page, enter into the address bar. Follow the onscreen instructions to configure your D-Link router. If you wish to configure your router manually, please click cancel to exit the wizard. You will then be taken to the router s user interface login page. Type Admin as your username and leave the password blank to enter the interface and configure the router manually. The full product manual is available on the D-Link website. 3

4 ENGLISH TROUBLESHOOTING SETUP AND CONFIGURATION PROBLEMS 1. HOW DO I CONFIGURE MY ROUTER Manually? - Connect your PC to the router using an Ethernet cable. - Open a web browser and enter the address - The default username is Admin. The default password is (leave the field blank). - If you have changed the password and can not remember it, you will need to reset the router to set the password back to (leave the field blank). 2. HOW DO I RESET MY ROUTER TO FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS? - Ensure the router is powered on. - Press and hold the reset button at the bottom of the device for 10 seconds. Note: Resetting the router to factory default will erase the current configuration settings. To reconfigure your settings, log into the router as outlined in question 1, then run the Setup Wizard. 3. HOW DO I ADD A NEW WIRELESS CLIENT OR PC IF I HAVE FORGOTTEN MY WIRELESS NETWORK NAME (SSID) OR WIRELESS ENCRYPTION KEY? - For every PC that needs to connect to the router wirelessly, you will need to ensure you use the correct Wireless Network Name (SSID) and encryption key. - Use the web based user interface (as described in question 2 above) to check or choose your wireless settings. - Make sure you write down these settings so that you can enter them into each wirelessly connected PC. You will find a dedicated area on the back of this document to save this important information for future use. 4. WHY CAN I NOT GET AN INTERNET CONNECTION? - For cable network users, please log in web based user interface to make sure the MAC Clone address is set up properly in the Internet settings. - For broadband network users, please log in web based user interface to make sure the User name and Password are correct in the Internet settings. 4

8 CONFIGURACIÓN DEL PRODUCTO CONFIGURACIÓN MODO ROUTER PC Paso 1 Coloque el router cerca de su módem y el computador que ya está en línea. Coloque el router en una zona abierta de su área de trabajo para una mejor cobertura inalámbrica. Router Modem ESPAÑOL Router Modem Paso 2 Desconecte el cable Ethernet de su módem que está conectado a su computador. Conéctelo al puerto etiquetado como WAN en el router. Conecte el adaptador de energía incluido en el puerto de energía en la parte posterior del router y luego enchufe en una toma de corriente o protector contra sobrevoltaje. Verifique que el indicador de energía está encendido. PC Modem Paso 3 Conecte un extremo del cable Ethernet en el puerto etiquetado como 1 en la parte posterior del router. Conecte el otro extremo de este cable al puerto Ethernet en su computador. Router WELCOME TO THE D-LINK SETUP WIZARD Paso 4 Desde el computador que está conectado al router, abra un navegador web. Si no se dirige automáticamente a la página Asistente de Configuración D-Link, escriba en la barra de direcciones. Siga las instrucciones en pantalla para configurar el router D-Link. Si desea configurar el router de forma manual, por favor haga clic en cancelar (Cancel) para salir del asistente. A continuación, será llevado a la página de acceso a través de la interfaz de usuario del router. Escriba Admin como nombre de usuario y deje la contraseña en blanco para ingresar a la interfaz y configurar el router manualmente. 9 SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS PROBLEMAS DE INSTALACIÓN Y CONFIGURACIÓN 1. CÓMO CONFIGURO MI ROUTER MANUALMENTE? - Conecte su PC al router mediante un cable Ethernet. - Abra el navegador web e introduzca la dirección dlinkrouter - el nombre de usuario predeterminado es Admin. La contraseña por defecto debe quedar en blanco (dejar este cuadro vacío). - si ha cambiado la contraseña y no lo recuerda, tendrá que reiniciar el dispositivo para establecer la contraseña por defecto. 2. CÓMO PUEDO RESTABLECER MI ROUTER A LOS VALORES POR DEFECTO DE FÁBRICA? - Asegúrese de que el dispositivo está encendido. - Mantenga pulsado el botón de reset en la parte posterior del dispositivo durante 20 segundos. Nota: Al restablecer el producto a valores de fábrica, se borrará la configuración actual. Para volver a ajustar la configuración, inicie sesión en el router como se indica en la pregunta 1, a continuación, ejecute el Asistente de Configuración. ESPAÑOL 3. CÓMO PUEDO AÑADIR UN NUEVO CLIENTE INALÁMBRICO O PC SI HE OLVIDADO MI NOMBRE DE RED INALÁMBRICA (SSID) O CLAVE DE CIFRADO INALÁMBRICO? - Por cada PC que necesita conectar con el router de forma inalámbrica, tendrá que asegurarse de que utiliza el Nombre correcto de la Red Inalámbrica (SSID) y la clave de cifrado. - Utilice la interfaz de usuario basada en web (como se describe en la pregunta 1) para comprobar o elegir la configuración inalámbrica. - Asegúrese de anotar estos valores para que pueda ingresarlos en cada PC que desee conectar inalámbricamente. Va a encontrar un espacio especial en la parte posterior de este documento para escribir esta información importante para el futuro. 4. POR QUÉ NO PUEDO CONSEGUIR UNA CONEXIÓN A INTERNET? - Para usuarios de red por cable, por favor ingrese a la interfaz de usuario para asegurar que la opción MAC Clone address ha sido utilizada correctamente en la configuración a Internet. - Para usuarios ADSL, por favor inicie sesión en la interfaz de usuario basada en web para asegurarse que el Nombre de Usuario y Contraseña están correctos en la configuración de Internet. 9

12 CONFIGURAÇÃO DO PRODUTO CONFIGURAÇÃO DO ROTEADOR PC Primeiro Passo Posicione seu roteador, próximo ao modem e ao computador que será utilizado para configuração. De preferência, posicione o roteador em uma área com poucas barreiras (como paredes e janelas), para obter melhor qualidade do sinal wireless. Router Modem Router Modem Segundo Passo Desconecte a ponta do cabo Ethernet do seu modem, que está conectado ao computador. Em seguida, conecte-o a porta WAN do roteador. PORTUGUÊS PC Modem Conecte o adaptador de energia à porta de alimentação, na parte de trás do roteador e depois conecte a uma tomada ou estabilizador. Verifique se a luz de energia está acesa. Terceiro Passo Conecte uma extremidade do cabo Ethernet, (incluído na caixa) na porta 1 atrás do roteador. Conecte a outra extremidade deste cabo à porta Ethernet do seu computador ou notebook. Router WELCOME TO THE D-LINK SETUP WIZARD Quarto Passo No computador que você conectado ao roteador, abra um navegador web. Você deverá ser direcionado automaticamente à página do Assistente de Configuração D-Link, caso não corra, acesse dlinkrouter na barra de endereços. Em seguida, siga as instruções na tela para configurar o roteador D-Link. Se você deseja configurar seu roteador manualmente, clique em Cancelar para sair do assistente. Você será encaminhado à página de Login do Usuário no roteador. Digite admin como nome de usuário e deixe a senha em branco para entrar na interface e configurar o roteador manualmente. 13 RESOLUÇÃO DE PROBLEMAS PROBLEMAS DE INSTALAÇÃO E CONFIGURAÇÃO 1. COMO CONFIGURAR MANUALMENTE MEU ROUTER? - Ligue o Roteador ao PC/Notebook utilizando um cabo Ethernet. - Abra um navegador web e digite o endereço - O nome de usuário padrão é 'admin'. A senha padrão é'' (deixe o campo em branco). - Caso tenha alterado a senha e não se lembra, reconfigure o roteador para configurar a senha novamente e deixe o campo Senha (em branco). 2. Como faço para redefinir meu Roteador, para as configurações de fábrica? - Verifique se o roteador está ligado. - Pressione e segure o botão reset na parte inferior do dispositivo por 10 segundos. Nota: Reiniciar o roteador para o padrão de fábrica vai apagar as configurações atuais.para voltar a configurar as definições, faça login no roteador conforme descrito no quesito 1 e então execute o Assistente de Configuração. 3. Como faço para adicionar um novo dispositivo Wireless ou PC a minha rede, se esqueci o Nome da Rede wireless (SSID) ou Chave de Criptografia Wireless? - Para conectar um PC ou dispositivo Wireless a rede, assegure o correto nome da sua rede e chave de criptografia wireless. - Utilize a interface de usuário baseada na web, (como descrito na pergunta 2 acima) para escolher suas configurações sem fio. - Coloque o usuario e senha em cada PC que deseja conectar a rede, caso queira, salve as informações para utilizar em conexões futuras. PORTUGUÊS 4. Porque não consigo estabelcer uma conexão com a INTERNET? - Para os usuários da rede por cabo, faça o login na interface de usuário baseada na web, para verificar se o endereço Clone MAC está configurado corretamente, nas configurações de Internet. - Para os usuários da rede de banda larga, faça o login na interface de usuário baseada na web para verificar se o nome de usuário e senha estão corretos, nas configurações de Internet. 13

LIMITED HARDWARE WARRANTY D-Link s sole obligation shall be to repair or replace the defective Hardware (or any part thereof) at no charge to the original owner. Such repair or replacement will be rendered at an Authorized D-Link Service Office (Service Office). The replacement Hardware need not be new or of an identical model or part; D-Link may in its discretion replace the defective Hardware with any reconditioned product that D-Link reasonably determines substantially equivalent or superior in all material respects to the defective Hardware. The warranty period shall extend for an additional ninety (90) days after any repaired or replaced Hardware is delivered. If a material defect is incapable of correction, or if D-Link determines in its discretion that it is not practical to repair or replace the defective Hardware, the price paid by the original purchaser will be refunded upon return to D-Link of the defective Hardware. All Hardware shall become the property of D-Link upon replacement or refund. 15

16 LIMITED SOFTWARE WARRANTY D-Link warrants that the software portion of the product (Software) will substantially conform to its then current functional specifications from the date of original delivery for a period of ninety (90) days, if properly installed and operated on approved hardware. D-Link s sole obligation shall be to replace the non-conforming Software. The replacement Software is provided only to the original licensee, and is subject to the terms and conditions of the license granted by D-Link. The warranty period shall extend for an additional ninety (90) days after any replacement Software is delivered. If a material non-conformance is incapable of correction, or if D-Link determines in its sole discretion that it is not practical to replace the non-conforming Software, the price paid by the original licensee will be refunded, provided that the non-conforming Software (and all copies thereof) is first returned to D-Link. The license granted respecting any Software for which a refund is given automatically terminates. WHAT YOU MUST DO FOR WARRANTY SERVICE Any claim under this limited warranty must be submitted in writing before the end of the warranty period to a Service Office with a written description of the Hardware defect or Software nonconformance in sufficient detail to allow D-Link to confirm the same. The original product owner must obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number from the Service Office and, if requested, provide written proof of purchase. After an RMA number is issued, the defective product must be packaged securely in the original or other suitable shipping package to avoid damage in transit with RMA number prominently marked outside the package. The packaged product shall be insured and shipped to a Service Office with shipping costs prepaid. D-Link may reject or return any product not packaged and shipped in strict compliance with foregoing requirements, or for which an RMA number not visible outside the package. The product owner agrees to pay reasonable handling and return shipping charges for product not packaged and shipped in accordance with foregoing requirements, or that determined by D-Link not to be defective or non-conforming. WHAT IS NOT COVERED The limited warranty provided by D-Link does not cover: Products that have been subjected to abuse, accident, alteration, modification, tampering, negligence, misuse, faulty installation, lack of reasonable care, repair or service in any way that is not contemplated in the documentation for the product, or if the model or serial number has been altered, tampered with, defaced or removed; damage that occurs in shipment, due to act of God, failures due to power surge, and cosmetic damage; and any hardware, software, firmware or other products or services provided by anyone other than D-Link or any Service Office.
